H BLOCK GAME HINTS

Don't start a riot until you have to
As soon as you attack a prison staff member you start a riot. When the riot starts you only have a limited amount of time left before riot police storm the prison thus ending the game. All security gates become locked as well. Obviously this makes completing the game a lot harder so don't attack any prison staff until you have taken out all the enemy prisoners.

Use Bea Smith carefully
You are Bea Smith in the game so if Bea gets knocked out it's game over. Try to recruit as many prisoners as you can and let them do most of the fighting but Bea is the toughest character you can control so using her against the really tough opponents is probably a good idea. If Bea is badly hurt then it's best to get medical attention from the doctors surgery although this will reduce your score (The doctor will run away though if there is a riot taking place).

Find out where all the characters are
To complete the game you are probably going to need to know where most of the characters are located. This is especially important when you start a riot as you won't have much time to explore. Some of the characters are behind locked gates or doors, you will need keys to get to them. You have to attack the prison officers to get the keys so use them carefully.

Blocking
(Move cursor over the top half of the view window) Use the block often, if you are controlling a character with high defense rating then the enemy will do little or no damage with her/his attacks. The block gives you time to react to the enemies attacks better. The only time when blocking is not so good is during a riot, you won't have time for long counter punching tactics so it's best just to punch it out.

Left Jab
(Move cursor to bottom left of view window and press left mouse button) This is the most basic attack move it does little damage (unless you are controlling a character with high attack rating) but is very quick. The left jab is the safest punch so should be used often against the hard hitting opponents.

Right Jab
(Move cursor to bottom right of view window and press right mouse button) This is a medium attack move it does medium damage and is average speed. The right jab is quite effective against weaker opponents but a bit vulnerable against tougher ones, it's best used in combinations with other punches.

Uppercut
(Move cursor to bottom right of view window and press left mouse button) This is a medium attack move it does medium damage and is slow speed. The uppercut is very effective against defensive opponents as it can't be blocked but is very vulnerable against aggressive enemies because of the lack of speed.

Right Hook
(Move cursor to bottom left of view window and press right mouse button) This is a heavy attack move it does lots of damage and is slow speed. The right hook is very effective against weak opponents but very vulnerable against tougher ones. Bea Smith can take out weak opponents with just a few right hooks.

Combat tips
The enemies are not the brightest computer game opponents, you will find they attack in a fairly predictable manner. Try to work out the patterns that they are using and try different combinations of punches for each opponent.
